A suspected DPRK drone spied on the site of the THAAD missile defense system in South Korea, South Korean Yonhap news agency reported Tuesday citing military officials.

The drone was reportedly equipped with a Sony-made camera and was discovered on a mountain near the heavy-fortified inter-Korean border after it crashed last week.

A South Korean defense official said "It was confirmed that (the craft) took photos of the THAAD site in Seongju" after the South's military analyzed its 64-gigabyte memory chip.
