Last year, there were altogether 2.7 billion trips during the same period. With train tickets for Feb 15th, the Lunar New Year's Eve, going on sale online on Wednesday, hundreds of millions of Chinese will try every means to buy themselves a seat for the journey home. Meanwhile, air travel will likely top 65 million trips, surging 10 percent from last year, according to the National Development and Reform Commission.
