Twenty-five people have been arrested on charges of dumping more than 100,000 tons of garbage and other harmful substances into the Yangtze River mouth, according to the People’s Procuratorate of Zhejiang Province in east China Tuesday. The local Shanghai Municipal government has taken measures to clean the water polluted by the garbage from Haiyan. Almost 153 tons of garbage had been cleared from the river between in December 2016 and January 2017.
