French President-elect Emmanuel Macron will hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Monday in Berlin, announced Merkel's spokesman Steffen Seibert during a regular government news conference on Friday.
The 39-year-old Macron beat the National Front's Marine Le Pen in the presidential runoff on May 7, and will officially be inaugurated on Sunday.
