Ivory Trade Ban: Former NBA star Yao Ming talks about conservation efforts

China's complete ban on the ivory trade is a major step forward in the country's efforts to rein in what was once the world's largest market for illegal ivory. CGTN's Jennifer Hsiung had the opportunity to talk to Yao Ming, a retired NBA basketball legend.
Yao is now an ambassador for WildAid. He has pledged to give up sharks fin soup, and has since appeared in numerous ads, billboards, and televised public service announcements to call for an end to the illegal wildlife trade. Yao has championed the protection of sharks, elephants, and rhinos with messages that have reached hundreds of millions of people.
