La Liga title was a long time coming for Real Madrid, who spent the last four years watching Barcelona lift three Spanish trophies, with crosstown rivals Atletico claims top honors on the other occasion. Los Blancos only needing to avoid a loss heading into their season finale, the mood in the country's capital would be quite jubilant on the last day of the domestic campaign.

Real Madrid’s final match day of the La Liga season might not have been played at the Bernabeu, but that did not stop fans from gathering at the ground. And given Real needed just a draw at Malaga to claim the La Liga title, many supporters were in a confident mood.

Across town at a bar, fans gathered for the big game. If there was a sense of tension, it soon disappeared.
