Towns near Mount Mayon were smothered in ashfall on Tuesday morning, as the volcano in the central Philippines erupted again.
Over 80-thousand people fled from villages inside an 8 kilometer danger zone. Farm animals were also evacuated to temporary pastures. The Philippines' most active volcano has been spewing lava and plumes of ash as high as 5 kilometers for the past two weeks. Its alert level had been raised to a notch below a maximum of five.
