We begin the program in Bangkok, where the Supreme Court has sentenced Thailand's former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to five years in prison.
Yingluck has been found guilty for mismanaging a rice subsidy scheme during her tenure between 2011 to 2014. The ousted leader fled the country last month, fearing a harsh sentence. Yingluck had earlier maintained her innocence. The sentence was supposed to be announced in August, but was postponed after Yingluck skipped town.
