Many regions across China have been affected by heavy rainfall and snow. The cold weather will continue this week. According to the National Meteorological Center, from Wednesday to Thursday, heavy snow is expected to hit east China's Anhui, Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces and Shanghai. Shanghai's railway authority has said it would temporarily stop selling Thursday's tickets for high-speed trains passing through the above regions. In east China's Anhui Province, the blizzards have forced schools in rural areas to suspend classes from Wednesday to Sunday. Meanwhile, China's northeastern province Heilongjiang has experienced its coldest days so far this winter since Tuesday, recording temperatures under minus 40 degrees Celsius.
