As part of his work report, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Xi Jinping singled out the importance of further opening up China's market, following the principle of gaining shared growth.
XI JINPING GENERAL SECRETARY, CPC CENTRAL COMMITTEE "Openness brings progress, while self-seclusion leaves one behind. China will not close its door to the world; we will only become more and more open."
The general secretary also noted that the Belt and Road initiative will remain a priority, and China will give equal emphasis on the policies of "bringing in" and "going out". Xi Jinping added China will also work to make new ground in further opening up over the next couple of years, following the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration.
