Turkish President Erdogan has announced Turkey will not extradite any suspects to the United States, until Washington sends Fethullah Gulen back to the country.
During a speech in Ankara on Thursday, Erdogan said Turkey had delivered 12 terrorists to the United States. Turkey says the US has refused to reciprocate on unreliable grounds. The prize Turkey wants most is Gulen, who now lives in the US. Turkey blames Gulen for masterminding a failed military takeover in July 2016 that left 250 people dead. Erdogan's government has branded the so-called Gulen movement a terrorist organization. Washington says there's not enough evidence to label Gulen a terrorist.
