Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi begins a two-day visit to the United States today. He'll be meeting senior American officials to discuss bilateral ties and issues of common concern. There is speculation that Yang will also be holding discussions to arrange a meeting between President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump. China's Foreign Ministry says the two leaders hope to meet soon.
