Still in his late teens, Ye Yunshi achieved something impressive and admirable.
The 18-year-old young man has managed to clear the debt left by his late parents, by doing various odd jobs during after school hours.
It took Ye six years to foot the bill – which totaled 4,400 US dollars.
Now a student of electronics at a trade school in East China's Zhejiang Province, Ye Yunshi embarked on the long journey to clear the family’s debt when he just turned 11.

Ye lost both his parents when he was a fifth grader in primary school. He moved to live with his aged grandfather and largely took care of himself.
Although his parents left no information about the creditors, the 11-year-old went around the village and verified all the 20-plus sums by the beginning of the following year, which totaled 30,000 yuan (nearly 4,400 US dollars), before pledging to pay up on his own.

Over the following six years, Ye Yunshi toiled at work not just to make ends meet, but also to settle the debt he inherited from his parents.
With the money saved from the government subsidies, the boy finally paid off the debts by the end of 2015.
Since then, Ye's achievement became widely known.
Now in his final year at trade school, he chose to focus on his studies.
"I have to make up for all the lost time," he said, "I will get a job after graduation and spend more time with Grandfather."
