A Japanese robot, Erica, will start her career as a news anchor in April. The robot is designed to look like a 23-year-old woman. The high-tech anchor is more than just a news reader. Through facial recognition, infra-red sensors, and other technology, Erica is able to talk to people. The robot was developed by research teams from Osaka University and Kyoto University. It still hasn't been determined where she'll be working, and at what time slot.
