The Chinese Foreign Ministry says US President Donald Trump is the first foreign head of state who visited China after the 19th CPC National Congress, and both sides are willing to develop more sustainable and stronger ties.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump exchanged views on China-US relations, and major international and regional issues. They achieved a lot. Both sides recognize the importance of China-US relations, and are willing to develop more sustainable and stronger ties. China and the US share common interests and a responsibility for maintening peace, stability and prosperity around the world. China-US relations have important global implications, and the international community generally expects better relation between the two countries."
