Ten overweight hedgehogs have been put on a diet in Tel Aviv, Israel. One of the obese creatures found wandering the streets was one point six kilograms when he was taken to a zoo, double the weight of a healthy hedgehog. He's lost 120 grams in the last two months. The animals are believed to have got fat by eating food put out for stray cats. The extra bulk prevents them from being able to curl up, making them vulnerable to predators.
