Taiwan Earthquake: 10 dead, 62 missing after Tuesday's quake
[]
We begin in Taiwan, where at least ten people are dead, 265 injured and 62 still missing after a magnitude-6.5 earthquake hit Hualien County on Tuesday night.
The victims include three tourists from the mainland. Four buildings have partially collapsed or tilted. But hopes of finding survivors are fading, as search operations enter a second day. Many of the missing are believed to be trapped inside buildings. Some roads have been torn up, and hundreds have been forced to shelter in local schools and a stadium. At least 160 aftershocks, including some measuring over magnitude-five, have followed.
