Launched in 2001, the Boao Forum has become a dialogue platform for political, business, and academic leaders from across Asia to discuss pressing regional issues.
In the past 16 years, China has always held top leadership in the forum. Each Chinese president shared his views on how the Asian community fits into the world, as well as how will China play its part.
On March 28, 2015, President Xi Jinxing said, “We must see the whole picture, follow the trend of our times and jointly build a regional order that is more favorable to both Asia and the world. We should, through efforts towards such a community for Asia, promote a community of common interests for all mankind.”
