The Netherlands has decided to officially withdraw its ambassador from Turkey. The Dutch foreign ministry said the two countries were unable to agree on normalizing ties. It added it will also not allow a new Turkish ambassador to take up duties in the Netherlands. The move is seen as a formality because the Dutch Ambassador to Ankara has not been allowed into Turkey since March last year when tensions rose between the two countries.
