Ma Zechen, a host for the French channel of CGTN, drew an analogy between journalism and a kite. “A kite is beautiful when it’s attached to a string, and it flies freely in the sky. But once you cut the string, the kite will fall to the ground.”
"It’s the same with journalism, and journalism is attached to its share of social responsibilities,” Ma added.
Concerning the purpose of journalism, Ai Kuining, from Fudan University China Institute, said, “reporting is just to reveal a truth or a want to find the truth, to help the society and solve the problem eventually.”
“My Life, My China” was produced by China Institute of Fudan University and Guan Video.
