China’s much anticipated C919 self-developed passenger jet has passed its last flying review on Tuesday. This is its last review by experts before its maiden flight.
The large narrow-body plane, which can accommodate 150 passengers, also completed its second high-speed taxi test, two days after its first test. The Commercial Aircraft Corp of China Ltd, the manufacturer of the C919, said a date would be chosen soon for its maiden flight.
The C919 aircraft, designed to accommodate over 150 passenger seats, is a narrow-body plane. Its main rivals on the market will include the Airbus 320 and Boeing 737.
