South Korean President Moon Jae-in is now in southwest China's city of Chongqing. He's there for the second and final leg of a four-day state visit. The South Korean President paid a visit to the site of the former office of his country's provisional government that operated in China during the 1910-45 period of Japanese colonial rule. It has been widely seen as a gesture to highlight the two nation's long shared history and joint struggle against Japan's past imperialism.
Before setting off to Chongqing, Moon and President Xi met on Thursday for their third bilateral summit. Moon also met with Premier Li Keqiang for talks on Friday. The South Korean President is scheduled to wrap up his trip on Saturday.
