Police in Croatia and Slovenia have intercepted a human trafficking operation in Zagreb and freed dozens of mostly Chinese nationals.
The victims were forced to work in illegal call centers. According to Croatian police, two Croatian and two Chinese citizens were arrested and accused of running the fraud scheme from two houses. A newly released police video shows officers breaking into a house and finding the victims held captive. Earlier this week, Slovenia's police announced that they detained two Slovenian citizens and four Asian nationals on suspicion of operating a telecom scam.
