The director of Belgium's famous Pairi Daiza zoo, Eric Domb, is looking to get permission from Chinese authorities to welcome a family of golden snub-nosed monkeys to the wildlife park.
In an interview with Xinhua on Wednesday, Domb said golden snub-nosed monkeys were rare and that it is perhaps more difficult to get permission to host them than to host pandas.

Domb said should his dream come true, he would like to build a beautiful garden for them where visitors would not only see "the most fantastic monkeys in the world, but also learn about Chinese culture."

In 2014, Chinese giant pandas Xing Hui and Hao Hao arrived at Pairi Daiza to stay for 15 years. This year Hao Hao gave birth to Tian Bao, who will live in Belgium for four years before returning to China.
