The DPRK tested a newly-developed high-thrust engine at its Tongchang-ri rocket launch station. The country's leader, Kim Jong Un, said the test represents “a new birth” of the rocket industry. The KCNA news agency said the engine will help the country achieve world-class satellite launch capability and indicated the test was of a new type of rocket engine for long-range missiles.
