Representatives of political parties from around the world are in Beijing to discuss closer cooperation.

The Communist Party of China on Wednesday held a seminar with political party officials from Africa regarding ties between the two sides. This is the first such event hosted by Beijing, following the National Party Congress in October. The week's main event is the CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting, which starts Thursday. Delegates from more than 120 countries are expected to attend. It aims to provide an opportunity for communication in tackling global challenges, and learning from one another.
