Dutch Eredivisie: Ajax sacks first team coaches

In the Netherlands all is not well at Ajax and that's despite them being second in the Dutch Eredivisie. The former European giants have removed first team coach Marcel Keizer and his assistant Dennis Bergkamp from their posts after a series of disagreements with the club's hierarchy.
Reserve team boss Michael Reiziger will take temporary charge with former Chelsea defender Winston Bogarde acting as assistant. The problem stems from a difference of opinion according to technical director Edwin Van der Sar who, despite the positive league position, was disappointed with the Lancers exits from the UEFA Champions League and the Europa League, both in the preliminary stages which goes with them being knocked out of the Dutch Cup on kicks by FC Twente last week. Keizer took over from Peter Bosz who left for Dortmund in the summer while Bergkamp, apparently ex-Arsenal, started his career in the Dutch capital having been handed his debut by then coach Johan Cruyff when just 17-years-old.
