China's environment minister answers questions on air pollution

Chinese Minister of Environmental Protection Chen Jining has summed up his ministry’s accomplishments in 2016 at a press conference at the media center of the Fifth Session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) on Thursday in Beijing.
Chen said the ministry has been implementing the Air Pollution Prevention And Control Action Plan for three years, and results show that the PM2.5 readings in China's major industrial areas are dropping sharply. Chen added that environmental protection is still a long-term task.
