Hotel fire leaves two dead, 14 injured in E China's Jiangxi

A hotel fire has left two people dead, 14 others injured in Nanchang, east China’s Jiangxi Province. Five of the injured are receiving treatment in local hospitals.
Local authorities revised an earlier death toll as one victim was saved upon arriving at the hospital.
The lobby of the HNA Hotel Platinum Mix was under renovation when a fire broke out at around 8:22 a.m. local time on Saturday. More than 260 people were evacuated.

The fire has now been put out, with 19 fire engines and 160 rescue workers dispatched to the scene.
Initial reports indicated that the flames had been triggered by a trash fire during welding. Two construction workers suspected of responsibility for the fire have been detained by police.
