Austria Election: Opinion polls show People's Party leading
[]
How much will the Austrians shift to the right? Well, latest opinion polls put the centre-right wing of the conservative People's Party, or OVP, as most popular at 33 percent. The far-right Freedom Party, also known as the FPO, is polling at 27 percent, followed by the centre-left social Democrats at 23 percent.

With Kurz widely expected to become next chancellor, it is also likely that FPO will be his partner. Earlier, risk reports showed that would mark the end of the traditional alliance between the People's Party and the Social Democratic Party.
