The death toll of the Taiwan tourist bus accident on Monday has hit 33, and the other 11 injured are still accepting treatment in hospital, according to Taiwan’s local media.
Among the dead, 30 were killed on the spot and three others died in hospital.
Local police said there was no tourist from Chinese mainland or abroad on the bus.

The bus was carrying 44 people, including the driver and a tour guide, as it overturned in a highway in Taipei and was left flipped over on the side of the road. The roof was torn off, and some people were thrown out, as most of them did not fasten their seatbelts.
The bus is suspected of speeding when it crashed into the guardrail and veered off the highway. Local police said the speed of the bus reached 60km/h, while the limit is set at 40km/h.

Most of the passengers were elderly tourists who were on their way home from visiting seasonal cherry blossoms in Taichung city.
The bus was reported to be 19 years old and belong to a private agency which runs tours across Taiwan.
The Chinese mainland has expressed its deep concerns over the accident, with the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office on Tuesday conveying sincere condolences to the dead and their families.

Monday's bus crash is the latest in a string of major travel accidents that have tarnished Taiwan’s safety record. It came just nine days after another tour bus accident injured 21 tourists from the Chinese mainland. That bus, carrying 25 tourists and a tour guide from the mainland, hit the edge of a tunnel after the driver took a wrong turn in the southwestern city of Kaohsiung.

Another deadly incident involved a coach fire on a highway near Taoyuan Airport in July last year. All 26 people on board, including 23 tourists and a guide from the Chinese mainland were killed.
And in February 2015, a Taiwan TransAsia Airways plane crashed into the Keelung River in Taipei, ten minutes after takeoff. The crash killed 43 people, including 28 mainland passengers.
In April 2011, a small train overturned in Taiwan's Ali Mountain area, killing 6 tourists from the mainland and injuring 45 others.
