Swiss tennis player Roger Federer earned his 20th Grand Slam title overall by defeating Marin Cilic last night in the Australian Open.
ROGER FEDERER AUSTRALIAN OPEN MEN'S SINGLES CHAMPION "I can't believe it myself, I've just got to keep a good schedule, stay hungry, and then maybe good things can happen you know, then I don't think age is an issue per se you know, it's just a number. But yeah, I need to be very careful in my planning and really decide what are my goals, what are my priorities, and I think that will dictate how successful I will be."
At 36 years of age, Federer is the second oldest man in the Open Era to win a grand slam. After not winning one for four years, the Swiss Maestro has claimed three of the last five to bring his total to 20, four more than his nearest challenger Nadal. Since his maiden major title at Wimbledon in 2003, several generations of young players have come and gone, yet Federer has outlasted them all.
