Apple Batteries: Class action lawsuit coming in S. Korea

Meanwhile, more than 250,000 people have applied to join a class action lawsuit against Apple over its battery troubles. The suit comes after the tech giant upgraded its cell phone system, which also caused some battery problems. The changes sparked strong dissatisfaction in South Korea. Apple says it will help Korean consumers replace their batteries.

Some analysts have downgraded their iPhone X sales forecast in the first quarter because of the battery troubles. Consumers in South Korea can now go to their nearest Apple after-sales service center to buy a new battery. The troubles may cause user loyalty to Apple phone to wane, benefiting other phone manufacturers.
