A horse made a bolt for freedom on a provincial highway in South Korea. The escape attempt came to an end when it was caught by a team of policemen and firefighters after bumping into several vehicles. Police said that the horse escaped from an equestrian center near the highway in the western city of Siheung on April 16. The animal apparently became exhausted after a 50-minute gallop and all its escape routes were blocked off, according to the Siheung police. During the incident, the horse bumped against five vehicles, obstructed traffic along the highway and suffered multiple injuries, the police added. No human casualties were reported.
