People in the Czech Republic have been voting for a second day in the first round of a presidential election.
Eight candidates are seeking to oust the incumbent Milos Zeman, who has sought warm relations with Russia. The latest opinion polls suggested that Zeman was the favorite to win the first round but may face a tough challenge in the second round. His strongest rival is pro-Western academic Jiri Drahos. If there is a run-off election, it will be held on January 26 and 27.
