Chinese Basketball Association: Xinjiang signs Brazilian Augusto Lima

More from the CBA as the defending champions the Xinjiang Flying Tigers announced they have signed a formal deal with Brazilian Augusto Lima, who will replace American big man Andray Blatche in their lineup.
Lima has spent time with teams in Spain, Lebanon and Turkey. He helped his team to win the Spanish A level league title and the 2017 Lithuania A level league championship. Before signing with Xinjiang, the 2.08 meter tall Brazilian last suited up for Besiktas of Turkey. He is expected to make his debut for Xinjiang in Friday's game against Guangdong.
As for the Flying Tigers Blatche, the American has had a bad season. In the five games he played, Blatche averaged 12.8 points and 6.4 rebounds, and only scored 11 points in his last three outings. The former NBA player even asked to leave the court in a crucial moment, which seemed rather irresponsible.
As for other teams, the Sichuan Blue Whales have added a new foreigner to their roster by signing Nigerian Ike Diogu, who will temporary fill in for Jamaal Franklin for this season's league matches.
