There is some good news for badminton fans here in China as the Badminton World Federation launched its remodelled World Tour and announced that Guangzhou will host the BWF World Tour Finals from 2018-2021.

The World Tour features five separate levels. The top level is the Tour Finals with a total purse of 1.5 million US dollars. The other levels are the World Tour Super 1000, the World Tour Super 750, the World Tour Super 500, and the World Tour Super 300. There will be 26 stages of competition, and the top 8 players in each standings will go to the finals.
