Thailand's foreign minister has confirmed that former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, who fled the country to evade a prison sentence, is in Britain. The comments come after two photographs purporting to be of Yingluck were widely shared on social media. Yingluck's government was ousted in 2014. She was sentenced in absentia to five years in prison in September for mismanaging a rice subsidy scheme. She fled Thailand before the verdict, and says the case against her is politically motivated.
