The Democratic People's Republic of Korea condemned upcoming joint military exercises by South Korea and the United States in an article published in the Rodong Sinmun, the newspaper of DPRK’s ruling Workers' Party, on Tuesday.

The US is due to deploy B-52 bombers, F-35 fighter jets, and the USS Carl Vinson carrier as part of the exercises. The THAAD defense system will also be included.
