Since Luo Xixi first reported the abuse on Sina Weibo on January 1st, her complaint has been viewed around 5 million times. Earlier, Luo told CGTN her take on the events and gave us explicit permission to use her photo.  

LUO XIXI "I stepped up simply because I don't want other people to get hurt. But the discussion and the reactions on the internet and in Chinese society have really surprised me. While I knew I had enough evidence to bring down the bad guy. I was happily surprised about the public response, and heartened to see the government act so quickly, and make promises at such a high level. I'm glad to know that society sides with me, and the government has handled this extremely well. I think better rules and regulations in the future will help those in need."
