We bounce along to the NBA now, where the Denver Nuggets are looking to make a push towards the playoffs. Gary Harris and the team from the Mile High City, are in a dogfight with OKC, Portland, New Orleans and the Clippers. Only four of the five teams can get in -- and the Nuggets are looking like good bets, especially after a comeback win over the defending champion Golden State Warriors last time out. They were hoping that momentum continued at home against the Charlotte Hornets.

The hosts do a fantastic job of passing the ball around, and that allows Gary Harris to dial long distance. He had a game high 27, and the lead is 8.

The Bugs would lead right before the half, but Denver is able to cause a turnover and that leads to a Jamal Murray triple, as the hosts take a 63-62 lead at recess.  Off to the third, and the Nuggets take control. Nikola Jokic is left all alone at the top of the arc, and he cans the three to extend the lead.

The team from the Mile High City go on a 14-6 run in the Q to take provide some breathing room. Joker misses the easy jumper, but steals the ball from Dwight Howard, and puts his team up a dozen.

Emmanuel Mudiay also getting in on the action, going baseline, and then hits the turnaround. 12 points for the former Guangdong Southern Tiger. But it was not all highlights for Denver -- Torrey Craig goes down hard trying to block this Cody Zeller dunk attempt. He lands hard on his back, but would be ok. He would get called for the foul.

Denver holds on for a 121-104 win, their third straight.

In other games, Detroit claimed their fourth straight win by topping Portland. Washington won their fifth straight game without injured All-star John Wall, as they get past Indiana. Orlando won just their third road game of the season, by edging Miami. Utah won their sixth straight whalloping New Orleans. Sacramento gets by Chicago. Bulls center Robin Lopez was ejected from the game, and threw a chair in anger. The Clippers hold off Dallas.
