Police: Indonesia suicide bombing attack linked to ISIL

Indonesia's elite anti-terror squad is investigating twin explosions near a Jakarta bus station Wednesday night. Three police officers were killed and at least 10 people injured in the incident, which authorities believe is linked to ISIL. 

According to CGTN’s Silkina Ahluwalia, the exact motives behind the attack remain unknown, but it does put Indonesia’s vulnerability to terrorism in the spotlight. 

World leaders have been visiting the country since 2016 and one of the most important topics that always topped their agenda was counter terrorism, and President Joko Widodo is constantly seeking for support and help in that area. 

He has spoken out regarding this attack, saying that people should remain calm because authorities are on high alert to make sure that everyone is safe.
