Of the 32 teams, 14 qualified from Europe, five are representing Africa, another five come from South America -- CONCACAF, which is the North and South American region, and the Caribbean qualified three squads. While the remaining five are from Asia, it's the first time that the continent has had that many representatives -- part of that is the inclusion of Australia into the AFC. Geographically the land "Down Under" belongs to Oceania.
