China opposes unilateral sanctions by foreign governments on Chinese companies, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
He also hopes Chinese overseas companies will conduct their foreign operations according to the law.
Wang made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the current Two Sessions in Beijing.
According to a statement by the US Department of Justice on Tuesday, Chinese firm ZTE Corp. has violated US laws by selling US-made equipment to Iran and the DPRK, both on the US list of sanctions.
ZTE Corp. has agreed to pay a fine of 892 million US dollars to the US.
