A fire broke out at 12:00 p.m. BJT (0400 GMT) in Old Barag Banner county of Hulunbuir, a city in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, according to Xinhua.
Some 800 firefighters and two planes have been mobilized to extinguish the blaze. Strong winds and mountainous terrain are making their work difficult.
