A former Bosnian Croat general has died after poisoning himself during his trial in The Hague.
The UN hearing was suddenly halted after Slobodan Praljak shouted he's not a war criminal and drank from a small bottle. This all unfolded moments after the judges re-affirmed his 20-year prison sentence for his involvement in a campaign to expel Muslims in the early 1990s.
Last week, the tribunal convicted the former Bosnian Serb commander of genocide and other crimes.
