Afghan Special Forces have ended an overnight siege at Kabul's Intercontinental Hotel. The three gunmen have been killed after they stormed the hotel and seized hostages. Local news stations showed people escaping the hotel, as troops searched for the gunmen. More than 150 people - including 41 foreign guests - managed to get out. But at least five civilians were killed and six more hurt. Earlier this week, the US embassy warned that militants may target hotels in Afghanistan's capital. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
