The ninth and latest round of UN Syrian peace talks have begun in Vienna. The UN Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, held separate talks with the government and the opposition. The opposition hopes talks lead to both sides implementing a ceasefire and political settlement. De Mistura said the talks arrive at a critical moment, since the Syrian government continues recapturing large amounts of land from terrorists and rebels.
