Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that Moscow was ready to hand records of US President Donald Trump's meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov over to US lawmakers, to prove Trump did not pass any secrets to Lavrov.
"If the US administration finds it possible, we are ready to provide a recording of the conversation between Lavrov and Trump to the US Congress and Senate," Putin said during a press conference following a meeting with the Italian prime minister in Black Sea coast city of Sochi on Wednesday.

"We are seeing in the US a developing political schizophrenia," Putin said.
"There is no other way I can explain the accusations against the acting US president that he gave away some secrets to Lavrov."
It came after The Washington Post reported late Monday that Trump revealed top secret information about an ISIL plot during the meeting with Lavrov and Russia's ambassador to Washington Sergey Kislyak in the Oval Office last week.
The New York Times and NBC News reported that the classified information was provided by Israel.
A spokesman from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office also said on Wednesday that Trump and Netanyahu spoke by telephone on Tuesday afternoon regarding Trump's visit to Israel next week.
"There was a call yesterday between the president and prime minister for about 20 minutes," said the spokesman, adding that they did not discuss reports on the intelligence sharing and the only topic discussed was the upcoming visit.
