China-Vietnam Relations: Chinese president meets Vietnamese PM, calls for deeper cooperation

Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Da Nang. He said the two neighbors should extend the breadth and depth of their comprehensive strategic cooperation. President Xi also extended condolences over the heavy casualties and damage caused by Typhoon Damrey in southern and central Vietnam. He said China will support Vietnam's relief efforts.
